Chiropractic Care

A complete check of your spine is essential to the way your body moves, feels and responds to stresses. The brain is the center of all communications to and from your body. Those communications are sent and received through the spinal cord that is protected by the bones called vertebrae that make up your spine.Chiropractic Care

The spinal cord has nerves that exit the bones of the spine and go out to the body in order to communicate with structures such as muscles, bone position, and organs, The ability for nerves to communicate with the spinal cord depends greatly on the spine efficiently moving to meet the demands of the body. Chiropractic care is designed to detect places in the spine that do not move efficiently and correct them with a careful, precise adjustment.

There are over 300 different chiropractic adjustment techniques that are used all over the world. At Texas Chiropractic Family Health and Wellness we use techniques based on many different factors including body type, age, gender, other medical conditions, sensitivity to touch, preference and safety.

Diversified Technique

Diversified technique is the most commonly used technique by chiropractors in the United States. Chiropractic was based on the philosophy that an adjustment should be done 'by the hand" of the chiropractic doctor. Texas Chiropractic College teaches this technique over the span of 3 years to ensure that its graduates are proficient, safe and effective.

Activator Technique

Dr. Jimenez is certified in basic Activator Technique. A specialized instrument called an Activator is used to make corrective adjustments to the spine, ligaments, and muscles. This technique is considered safe for many different advanced medical conditions due to its efficacy and precision.

Webster Technique

Dr. Jimenez is Webster technique certified and an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. This technique was developed by Dr. Webster to ensure a balanced and fully functional pelvic girdle (hips, lower back, and sacrum) in pregnant women. At about 30 weeks of gestation, a baby will normally assume the head-down position in preparation for birth. If the mom's pelvic girdle is unbalanced or has uneven tension it can make the process of turning difficult for the baby. Many times, once the Webster technique has been utilized a normal, healthy process can resume. This technique is safe to use in all stages of pregnancy, even up to the day of delivery! Our Leander Flexion-Distraction table has a moving piece driven by a motor that allows the low back to gently stretch and relax.
